Shea Moisture Curling Gel Soufflé Review

I was so excited to use this product. I love natural and organic products for skin and hair so this is the first thing that appealed to me reading the packaging information.

Shea Moisture describes this product as follows:

Thick, curly hair. Anti-frizz, moisture & shine. Sulfate-free & colour-safe. SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle has coconut and flaxseed oils that nourish, hydrate and seal the hair shaft to protect against environmental stressors, and promote natural oil retention.

No sulfates. No parabens. No phthalates. No paraffin. No gluten. No propylene glycol. No mineral oil. No synthetic fragrance.  No PABA. No synthetic colour. No DEA. No animal testing. Made in the USA.

Its texture is almost like aloe vera but less dense and more water-like, it has a slight fruity fragrance but not overpowering.

It does say to use sparingly but like many other naturals I seem to be heavy-handed, this results in it taking a really long time to dry and this is down to the glycerin as it attracts moisture to the hair from the environment, it will also feel very sticky. You can mix it with water in a spray bottle to dilute it but the results may vary depending on your hair type, texture and density.
